A showreel is the most powerful marketing tool an actor can have and, as such, the ultimate aim of any showreel is to improve the chances of being called in for a casting. Designed to portray an actor’s range and talent as well as leaving a positive impact on the viewer, a good showreel for an actor should be no longer than 2 - 3 minutes, feature close-up and reaction shots, and show a range of emotions, perhaps sprinkled with a few headshots.
Working closely with our team of professional film-makers, editors, graphic designers and composers, In House showreels are designed to be effective calling cards. We can edit your material into a dynamic, punchy, cinematic statement that shows exactly who you are and what you can offer.

Initial consultation
We will discuss clips to be included, appropriate editing styles and music requirements. This can be carried out in various ways dependent on your schedule.
Editing your showreel
We are able to edit material supplied from VHS, DVD and DV formats. Your source material will be re-cut, colour-corrected and music/sound effects utilised to enhance the materials overall production values.
Custom titles, fades, transitions and dissolves

Free postage (recorded delivery)
For all actor showreel master copies within the UK – a copy will also be automatically sent to your agent.
One free edit (2 hours)
This FREE edit will be available during the 12 months after the initial edit for any additions or amendments. Further updates will be charged at £30 per hour.
* The time it takes to edit a showreel is dependent on the number of clips an actor brings to an edit, usually around 15 clips or around 12 minutes of material – to be edited down to 4 or 5 minutes (with a final edit of 3 minutes). A typical edit will cost £165 - *£220. In order to optimize the service we offer, the preparation of your material will ensure your edit goes smoothly. Logging your clips beforehand will greatly enhance your final showreel and will keep your costs down. This can be discussed further during the initial consultation.

Digital formats - £25
All showreels are produced in high-resolution DVD format. We can also produce your showreel in digital formats such as MP4 which can be uploaded to In House Casting, Youtube, Facebook, your own or your agent's website.
All showreels produced by In House will be stored for 12 months so they can easily be re-edited, deleting or adding new material to maximise your showreel's potential.
Music composition - £30 per hour
We cannot use any copyrighted music in your showreel without express permission from the copyright holder. This will involve a personal request in writing to them and their written permission in response. Alternatively, we can create an original composition for your showreel and will happily discuss a timeframe to suit your budget.
