From Performing to Casting
In 2000, Mark's love of travel took him to Princess Cruises where he performed with the onboard production teams on several different vessels. This led to an offer of a teaching position at the Fine Arts Conservatory, Grande Prairie, Canada, where for twelve months he instructed students in acting, dance and musical theatre, as well as working as a freelance teacher and choreographer. However, Mark's passion for performing took him back to Los Angeles in 2005, where he worked with Karen Bruce as part of the skeleton team for her brand new show Destination Anywhere. Shortly after he performed with Princess Cruises for a further three years. Mark returned to the UK in 2008 and, after a short internship at Hubbard Casting, was employed as Casting Associate for Pretzel Films. This led to the founding and creation of In House Casting and Agency where he slowly established himself as a freelance casting director, and to date he has cast a number of Short Films, Commercials, Corporates and Music Videos, the Feature Films 'Heavener' and 'Sentry' (both of which are still in production) as well as the workshop of a new musical The Singing Teacher and the very successful 2014 production of Godspell in Concert at the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue which he also co-produced.
More recently Mark co-produced and cast the 2015 production of Godspell in Concert (UK Tour) closely followed by Three Guys Naked from the Waist Down (Finborough Theatre) and There be Migrants Here (Theatre503).
